Forest Park Forever is a private non-profit conservancy organization that works to "restore, maintain, and sustain Forest Park as one of America's greatest urban public parks." They have a vested interest in urban conservation and bringing wildlife to the city. Forest Park was intended to bring nature to urban St. Louis, it included a plan for a Nature Reserve throughout the park. It is a well-known fact that our world-class St. Louis Zoo lies within the park. However, there are also vast plantings of native plants from old-growth forests to prairies and wetlands which supports a plethora of wildlife.
